Ablixa

A garden variety anti-depressant of limited effectiveness, Ablixa was pushed by its manufacturer, Sadler-Benelux, with an aggressive advertising campaign, despite side effects including nausea, muscle weakness, change in appetite, dry mouth, insomnia and irritation.

It also appeared, briefly, that Ablixa had a further side effect of sleep walking – the kind of sleep walking in which one could, say, murder one’s husband without any awareness that one had done so. However, it later became evident that this particular side effect was the result of a complicated insider trading and revenge scheme hatched by the wife of a convicted former inside trader. Nonetheless, this revelation came too late to prevent the sales of Ablixa and the stock price of Sadler-Benelux from plummeting.

Related drugs: Delatrex.
